An electric ball valve is a type of quarter-turn valve that uses an electric actuator to control the flow of fluid through a pipeline. The ball valve itself consists of a spherical disk with a hole through its center, mounted on a stem that rotates within the valve body. When the disk is aligned with the flow path, the valve is open, allowing fluid to flow freely. When rotated 90 degrees, the disk blocks the flow, creating a tight seal.
